Elephants are the next sculpt!

Do you love elephants as much as we do?  Well, we're making a pretty darn big one right now.

Jack has been sculpting at Animal Makers for over 15 years!  He started his art in Bejing, China as a young man.  The Chinese state noticed his abilities and had Jack sculpt many animals for parades and other state functions.  Now, in September of 2012, he's sculpting his largest animal ever!  A 10' tall, African elephant is being sculpted now and is currently slated for a 5 axis movement list for his head, ears, and trunk.  This is part of the large Noah's Ark installation coming up in San Antonio, Texas in early 2013.

Animatronic Dolphin Silicone Skin gets painted

9/14/12:  Animal Makers / Moorpark, California / Here the dolphin is almost completely painted.  Hunter is patiently picking at each little dot of dust that might have made it's way into the spray booth.  There have been over ten coats of silicone based paint applied to far.  This skin is on a dolphin shaped stand.

This is a fun little video that shows Animal Makers' new animatronic dragons performing in Las Vegas for the Bellagio resort which was installed in January of 2012.

Designed, built and installed for the 2012 Lunar New Year! Animatronic moves include lunges forward and back, head tilts forward and back, arms lift up and down and can be posed, and the tails move. There are smoke effects from the built in air boxes in the nostrils. Animal Makers offers these dragons to venues of a similar nature, outside of the Bellagio's Las Vegas market. Over 20,000 people visit this attraction, per day!
